  • Extensive experience conducting policy-oriented qualitative and quantitative research in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Central African Republic (CAR), Republic of Congo, and Uganda

  • 9 years' experience conducting qualitative community-based research on development, health and environmental issues

​

  • Over 28 months of field-based research in western DRC​

  • Extensive experience travelling and working in remote areas ​​

          EXPERTISE

I have extensive expertise conducting policy-oriented research in central Africa (CAR, DRC, Republic of Congo, Uganda) on the following issues: access to and utilization of health services, indigenous rights, land rights issues, forest monitoring, community-based conservation, risk communication, epidemic preparedness, gender-based violence, community engagement, and free healthcare policies.

  • Fluent in English, French, Lingala, and conversational in several Mongo-Nkundo dialects

  • Excellent analytical and report-writing skills
